- Tropical Depression 9 is moving slowly west into the Southeastern Gulf of Mexico.
- The general track is expected to be westward for the next day or two before turning north and northeast by the middle of the week.
- This system will approach the Big Bend or Panhandle coast sometime on Thursday.
- Tropical Depression 9 is expected to become a Tropical Storm by Tuesday, with some strengthening expected before landfall. A minimal hurricane is not out of the question.
