In a press release from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, officials were notified of a possible tropical development in the Atlantic Ocean that could target Georgia and Florida:
“Tropical cyclone development is possible later this week as a system approaches the Bahamas. This system may approach Florida late in the weekend, but it is too early to determine possible impacts for our area. Significant uncertainty remains with both the potential track and intensity of the disturbance at this time.”
