According to Undersheriff Major Wendell Cofer, the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are conducting a death investigation after a report was made in Decatur County early Thursday afternoon.
Reports of the call went out around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, dispatching authorities to the 2000 block of Dothan Road.
The investigation is ongoing and investigators are awaiting the preliminary results from the GBI’s crime lab before determining a cause of death.
