According to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, 23 year old Jarvante Trevell Jones died in an accidental drowning Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened in Spring Creek at the Brinson Bridge. According to reports, Mr. Jones was with friends when the accident occurred. The call was placed to 911 around 5:00 p.m. and deputies responded within 10 minutes. Mr. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
