Felony Shoplifter Busted at Bainbridge Walmart

Bainbridge Public Safety arrested 20 year old Shaun Malik Miller on Monday afternoon for shoplifting hundreds of dollars of electronics from Walmart.

According to the arrest report, the Walmart Loss Prevention department contacted Bainbridge Public Safety and informed them that a “subject had taken multiple cell phones”.  The Loss Prevention Officer gave a physical description of the suspect describing him as a “black male, wearing a white shirt, black pants, and beanie on his head”.  While en route, Public Safety Officer Long arrived in the area and found the suspect near the intersection of south West Street and west Alice Street.

While PSO Long was questioning the suspect, identified as Shaun Miller, he was placed in handcuffs for “investigative custody”.  PSO Long asked for consent to search Miller’s bag and found “multiple phones and portable speakers in the blue book bag that Miller was wearing when contact was made”.  According to the report, “Miller was in possession of three ZTE Max Duo LTE cell phones, priced at $199.00, three Monster Superstar blue-tooth speakers, priced at $89.95, and two Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime cell phones, priced at $149.00.”

Miller was arrested and charged with Shoplifting O.C.G.A. 16-8-2 (felony).
