Pataula Drug Task Force Makes Multiple Drug Busts in Decatur County

The following are press releases from the Pataula Drug Task Force related to several drug arrests in Decatur County:

Charlie Hayes McMillan, Kathy Blocker Cook, and Thomas Edward Smith Arrested on Sale of Controlled Substances

 Decatur County, GA – On Wednesday, May 11, 2016, agents from the Pataula Drug Task Force arrested Charlie Hayes McMillan (age 78), Kathy Blocker Cook (age 50), and Thomas Edward Smith (age 55) of 214 Mount Olive Church Road, Bainbridge, Decatur County, GA.  McMillan was charged with one (1) count of sale of a controlled substance, Cook was charged with (2) two counts of sale of a controlled substance, and Smith was charged with (2) two counts of sale of controlled substance.  McMillan, Cook, and Smith were selling prescription medication.

The criminal investigation was initiated on February 12, 2016 by the Pataula Drug Task Force.  The investigation originated from information received that the trio was selling prescription medication from their home.

McMillan, Cook, and Smith were taken to the Decatur County Jail without incident.  This investigation is ongoing and will be turned over to the District Attorney’s Office when completed.

 

DONNAMETRIC MILLER Arrested on Sale of Controlled Substances

 Decatur County, GA – On Tuesday, May 10, 2016, agents from the Pataula Drug Task Force arrested Donnametric Miller (age 33) of 504 N Friendship Ave, Donalsonville, Seminole County, GA.  Miller was charged with one (1) count of sale of a controlled substance (suspected crack cocaine).

The criminal investigation was initiated on February 5, 2016 by the Pataula Drug Task Force.  The investigation originated from information received that Miller was selling crack cocaine.

Miller was taken to the Decatur County Jail without incident.  This investigation is ongoing and will be turned over to the District Attorney’s Office when completed.

 

DESMUND BEARD Arrested on Sale of Controlled Substances

 Decatur County, GA – On Wednesday, May 10, 2016, agents from the Pataula Drug Task Force arrested Desmund Beard (age 38) of 323 E Plain Street, Donalsonville, Seminole County, GA.  Beard was charged with one (1) count of sale of a controlled substance (suspected crack cocaine).

The criminal investigation was initiated on March 11, 2016 by the Pataula Drug Task Force.  The investigation originated from information received that Beard was selling crack cocaine.

Beard was taken to the Decatur County Jail without incident.  This investigation is ongoing and will be turned over to the District Attorney’s Office when completed.

 

SHAIKHA TAVAR BERNARD Arrested on Possession of a Controlled Substances

Decatur County, GA – On Monday, May 9, 2016, agents from the Pataula Drug Task Force arrested Shaikha Tavar Bernard (age 24) of 1219 Tallahassee Hwy, Bainbridge, Decatur County, GA.  BERNARD was charged with one (1) count of possession of a controlled substance (suspected cocaine).

BERNARD was wanted on Decatur County State Court Bench Warrant on as well as a child support pickup order.  Decatur County Sheriff’s Office CAPTAIN TROLINGER arrested BERNARD for the bench warrant and the child support order.  BERNARD was searched incident to arrest and a quantity of suspected cocaine was found on BERNARD’S person.

BERNARD was taken to the Decatur County Jail without incident.  This investigation is ongoing and will be turned over to the District Attorney’s Office when completed.
