This past Saturday, 7 teams from our Bainbridge Basscats competed against 60 other Georgia high school teams on Lake Eufaula.

Congratulations to freshmen Bryson D. Arthur & Cuyler Duke on their 3rd place finish with 5 fish and a weight of 11.39 and big fish of 4.12, sophomores Blake Daughtry & Jake Jones on their 15th place finish with 4 fish and a weight of 6.85, both teams qualified for the Georgia BASS High School State Championship.
Proud of all our teams who competed. We missed our chance last month here on Seminole to qualify, but excited that we now have 2 teams qualified for State. We are looking forward to next month on West Point. We want to thank Boyd’s Marine of Dothan, all our sponsors, our boat captains, our parents and community for their support.

So proud of the Basscats and especially my grandson, Cuyler Duke. His grandfather, James V. “JABO” Duke was a fabulous fisherman and his dad (our son) Eric Duke is a super fisherman also. Jabo would have been so proud of Cuyler as am I.
