Brock To Run For District 2 Office

Steve Brock, A long-time resident of the Vada Community, has announced his intention to run for the Decatur County District 2 Commission Seat. Steve Brock is the son of Donald and Evelyn Brock, also residents of the Vada community. Steve Graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1978 and attended Bainbridge College before pursuing his career in agriculture.
Steve Brock is the owner and operator of Steve Brock Farms GP and has been involved in agricultural activities for over 33 years. Brock has served for 9 years on the Farm Service Agency committee and 10 years on Decatur Gin Company’s Board of Directors. Brock has also been a dedicated supporter and volunteer for the Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years.
Steve and his wife Sherry have two grown children and three grandchildren. Steve said the support and encouragement of family, friends, and neighbors have influenced his decision to run for office. When questioned about his decision to run, Brock stated “I have always been community-minded and willing to serve others when there is a need. I am ready to commit my time and energy to serve the citizens of Decatur County and I feel that the time is right for me to run”.

  1. I’m glad Steve is running. I have known him for over 10 years and he is a man of solid character. He’ll work hard and will have the best interests of our citizens in mind.
