TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) – Dwayne Bacon scored 18 points and Florida State broke a five-game losing streak against ranked teams, beating No. 13 Virginia 69-62 on Sunday night.
The Seminoles (12-5, 2-3 ACC) trailed 39-36 early in the second half, but took control with a 12-3 run as Malik Beasley had five points. Florida State’s previous win over a ranked team was a 55-54 victory against Miami last season.

Beasley finished with 17 points, 14 in the second half. Xavier Rathan-Mayes added 11 points and Bacon had nine rebounds.
London Perrantes led the Cavaliers (13-4, 2-3) with 19 points while Anthony Gill added 13, as Virginia lost for the third time in four games.
Florida State is at No. 21 Louisville on Wednesday night.
