A 21-year-old Bainbridge man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stealing eight cell phones from a local store, according to Bainbridge Public Safety.
Bryndon Javon Dillard is accused of going to the Bainbridge Wal-Mart at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, and taking 3 cell phones. The total value of the phones was more than $500.
Dillard is also accused of returning to the Bainbridge Wal-Mart at around midnight Monday morning and taking 5 more cell phones.
Because the total value of the phones exceeded $500 in both cases, Dillard was charged with two counts of felony shoplifting.
Wednesday’s arrest marked the second time Dillard was arrested within the past week.
Last Friday, Dillard was one of two men arrested after BPS investigators executed a search warrant on the 400 block of East College Street. Dillard was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, but bonded out of jail later on Friday, according to Esquivel.
