The Bainbridge High School varsity football team defeated St. Pius X 18-17 on Friday night to advance to the semifinals round of the Georgia Class 4A state playoffs.
Bainbridge lost a coin toss to determine the host of the semifinal game, so Cartersville High School will host the Bainbridge Bearcats next Friday night in Cartersville, Ga.
Woodward Academy and Buford will face off in the other Class 4A semifinal.
