15-year-old charged in connection with July armed robbery

A 15-year-old Bainbridge teen is the second suspect charged in connection with a mugging that took place on July 31 in Bainbridge.

The 15-year-old male, who is not named here because he is a juvenile, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in Havana, Fla. He is charged with two counts of armed robbery and battery.

Khalil Kashawn Dixon, 17, of 1116 E. MLK Jr. Drive, Bainbridge, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and battery on July 31.

Public Safety officers identified Dixon as a suspect after two teenage boys reported that two other boys had lured them behind a building and robbed them of their valuables.

The primary victim stated that the boy on the bicycle, alleged to be Dixon, and the boy wearing the ski mask made them empty their pockets. The victims stated they were robbed of two cell phones, a lighter, a smoking pipe and pipe tobacco and some cigarettes.

The primary victim stated the boy on the bicycle forced him to fight and after the fight was over, the alleged robbers told them to stay there until they were long gone.
