After five lead changes in Tuesday’s game at Worth, the Worth County Lady Rams finally pulled out a 3-2 win over Cook.
The Lady Rams took the lead in the sixth inning and held on for the victory. A fielder’s choice scored Abby Adkins and gave the Lady Rams the lead for good.
Brinsley Graddy racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Lady Rams.
Caroline Newton got the win for the Lady Rams thanks to 10 strikeouts. Newton allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk over seven innings.
Lexie Walker took the loss for Cook. She lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
Cook jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. A single by Cassey Cornelious, scoring Claire Dobson started the inning off.
After posting one run in the fifth, the Lady Rams again scored one in the sixth. In the fifth, the Lady Rams scored on a solo home run by Taylor Layfield.
