Bainbridge City Council to review local bid preference policy; also will vote on agreement for inmate labor

The Bainbridge City Council will meet Tuesday, August 18, at 6:30 p.m. in its chambers at Bainbridge City Hall, 101 S. Broad Street, with the following agenda:

  • Consideration of intergovernmental contract with the Decatur County Prison for inmate labor
  • Consideration of resolution to reauthorize local bidder preference ordinance
  • Consideration of alcoholic beverage license-Lonnie Watson, doing business as Watson’s One Stop, 2200 S. West Street; requesting to amend existing license from malt beverages (off-site consumption) to package store (sales of beer/wine/liquor for off-premises consumption)
  • Consideration of alcoholic beverage license-Richard Scott Barefoot, on behalf of Circle K Stores, for sales of beer and wine for off-premises consumption at Kangaroo Express stores in Bainbridge (Note: In March 2015, The Pantry Inc. and Circle K Stores merged)
  • Mayoral Appointment
