Valdosta, GA –The skies will light up over Wild Adventures Theme Park and Splash Island Waterpark Saturday night during the Bluegrass & Barbeque Festival. The annual event features local and regional bluegrass performers and grill masters. This year the event will be bigger than ever featuring a large fireworks display on Saturday and a second day of music, food and fun on Sunday.
Saturday and Sunday, eight bluegrass and traditional country acts will perform on four stages throughout the park. Performers include solo artists and groups of all ages who sing, dance, play fiddle and come from all over Georgia and Alabama.
In addition to great foot-tapping music, the smoky goodness of barbeque will fill the air. Wild Adventures’ own slow-smoked and perfectly seasoned pork and chicken will be featured. Other food vendors will showcase their own unique take on barbeque throughout the park, with some offering free samples.
As the sun heads home on Saturday, the night sky will light up with a fireworks display sure to bring delight to all ages. The show will begin at dark. Guests can bring a lawn chair for setup in designated viewing areas before enjoying their day in the park.
