John Deere has recalled several models of riding lawn tractors because of a problem with the brake system.
The company said the brake arm on the tractors can fail and cause a crash.
The John Deere models being recalled are D110, D125, D130, D140, D155, D160 and D170 lawn tractors with serial numbers beginning with 1GXD. Click here for a complete list of serial numbers included in this recall.
The model number is printed on the bottom left and right of the hood in yellow. The serial number is located on the on the left side of tractor, under the fender, above the left rear tire.
Customers should not use their tractors until they are properly repaired by a John Deere retailer.

Home Depot, Lowe’s and other John Deere dealers nationwide from May 2015 through August 2015 for between $1,700 and $2,700. About 1,700 were sold in the United States. (in addition, 370 were sold in Canada)

Remedy
Consumers should stop using the recalled lawn tractors immediately and contact a John Deere dealer for a free repair. John Deere is also contacting all registered owners of the recalled lawn tractors directly.
