Bainbridge State College is pleased to announce the “One Matters” reward recipient for April.

This month, Ridge Harper, the Director of College Completion, was named the “One Matters” reward recipient. He was nominated by BSC student and student worker, Cerisee Snow, who works in the Academic Success Center with Harper. Each day, she witnesses his way of “making sure students receive the information they are seeking.”

“He has never told a student to come back later,” said Snow. “If he does not know the answer, he finds it. Ridge strives for excellence every day—from helping students schedule their classes to giving sound advice to students deciding what college to attend for their specific major. Ridge is always available to assist.”

More specifically, Snow noted Harper “stepping out of the box” to assist students in receiving the necessary information on classes for the GED program.
“Ridge Harper is a valuable asset to Bainbridge State College,” she added.

According to Harper, he would have never been recognized for the “One Matters” rewards if he were not put in a position to be available and helpful to BSC students. He believes the reward is an excellent way to recognize the employees who go “extra lengths” to help their students.

“There are a lot of staff and faculty members that go extra lengths to help students on a daily basis,” he said. “I hope this reward is around for a long time so that many people can be recognized for the encouraging work they do to help our students stay on track for completion. I am very thankful to be at Bainbridge State and to have the opportunity to help and encourage others.”
