Bainbridge Bearcats track teams host, compete at Larry Clark Invitational Meet (full SW GA teams’ results inside)

Bainbridge High School’s boys team placed third overall in the meet, while BHS’ girls team placed 12th overall in the meet.

Thomasville’s girls placed 3rd overall in the meet, while Thomas County Central’s girls team placed 5th overall.

Thomasville’s boys finished 11th overall in the meet.

When both boys’ and girls’ teams’ scores were combined, Thomasville had the 4th-best total, while Bainbridge had the 6th best.

Bainbridge girls

Tyisha Gant placed 15th in the girls’ 100-meter dash with a time of 13.29 seconds.

Camry Fillingame finished 16th in the girls’ mile, with a time of 6 minutes, 50.5 seconds.

Uriyah Davis finished sixth in the two-mile, with a time of 14 minutes, 21.64 seconds.

Bainbridge High School’s girls’ 4 x 100-meter relay team placed 17th of 31 teams, with a time of 53.61 seconds.

BHS’ girls placed 13th out of 29 in the girls’ 4 x 400-meter relay team, with a time of 4 minutes, 42.40 seconds.

Asia Gordon placed 7th in the shot put with a throw of 30 feet, 9.5 inches. She placed 13th in the discus throw with a throw of 78 feet.

Bainbridge boys

Chase Harris placed third in the mile run, with a time of 4 minutes, 47.79 seconds. Harris won the two-mile run with a time of 10 minutes, 19.11 seconds.

Cervantes Jackson placed 2nd in the 110-meter hurdles, with a time of 15.44 seconds. Jackson placed 2nd in the high jump, with a jump of six feet, and finished 10th in the long jump, with a leap of 20 feet, 4.75 inches.

Victor Bodison placed 6th in the long jump, with a leap of 21 feet, 1.75 inches.

Isiah Brown placed 4th in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 16.03 seconds, and finished 4th in the 300-meter hurdles of 42.11 seconds.

BHS’ A team placed 3rd in the 4 x 100-meter dash, with a time of 43.23 seconds.
BHS’ A team placed 7th in the 4 x 400-meter dash, with a time of 3 minutes, 34.53 seconds.

Lorenzo Mitchell placed eighth in the 400-meter dash, with a time of 52.86 seconds. Mitchell also placed 10th in the 800-meter run, with a time of 2 minutes, 13.96 seconds.

Elijah Tyler placed 9th in the 100-meter dash, with a time of 11.42 seconds, followed closely by Shawn Herring in 11th place, with a time of 11.44 seconds.

Charles Hightower finished 9th in the shot put, with 39 feet, 11.50 seconds.

Shawn Herring and Derrell Dukes finished 10th and 11th in the 200-meter dash, with respective times of 23.65 seconds and 23.74 seconds.

David Brock, Ashton Cato and Colby Nick also ran good times in the mile run, while Perry Waddell finished 14th in the two-mile with a time of 11 minutes, 56 seconds.

Other Southwest Georgia teams’ highlights

Girls

Thomasville’s Mahogany Walter placed third in the girls’ 100-meter dash with a time of 12.14 seconds. She also placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.78 seconds.

Thomas County Central’s Jamilah Johnson and Ilyria Johns placed 4th and 6th, respectively, in the 100-meter dash. Thomasville’s Naomi Toles placed 8th.

Thomasville’s Aleah Wagner placed third in the girls’ 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.63 seconds.

Mitchell County’s Adrianna Harvey placed fifth in the girls’ 100-meter hurdles, with a time of 17.85 seconds.

Thomasville’s Rebekah Smith won the girls’ mile with a time of 5 minutes, 52.20 seconds. Smith also placed 2nd in the two-mile with a time of 13 minutes, 9.09 seconds.

Thomas County Central’s A relay team, consisting of Erica Edwards, Ilyria Johns, Jamilah Johnson and Markescia Reynolds, placed 3rd in the girls’ 4 x 100-meter relay, with a time of 50.15 seconds.

Thomasville’s girls finished fifth in both the 4 x 100-meter relay and the 4 x 400-meter relay.

Thomasville’s Mahoghany Walter also placed 2nd in the high jump, with a jump of five feet, two inches. The high jump winner was Thomas County’s Erica Edwards, with a jump of five feet, 4 inches.

Thomas County’s Jamilah Johnson placed fifth in the girls’ long jump, with a height of 15 feet, 9.5 inches.

Thomasville’s Danisha Jones won the girls’ shot put with a throw of 39 feet, 4.50 inches. Jones also placed second in the discus throw, with a throw of 120 feet.

Boys

Thomasville’s James Davis placed third in the high jump with a jump of six feet.

Cairo’s Jamal Thomas was 4th in the long jump, with a leap of 21 feet, 6 inches.

Thomasville’s Bryan Kato finished 2nd in the shot put, with a throw of 45 feet, three inches. Kato placed 4th in the discus throw, with a throw of 119 feet, four inches.

Thomasville’s Neil White was 6th in the two-mile with a time of 11 minutes, 24.92 seconds.

Thomas County’s Juanye Smith placed 7th in the 100-meter dash, with a time of 11.33 seconds. Cairo’s Jamal Thomas took 9th with a time of 11.36 seconds.

Thomas County’s Ernest Harris placed 13th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.77 seconds.

Thomasville’s Andrew Jackson was 12th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.50 seconds.

Thomasville’s Keldren Reddick was 8th in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2 minutes, 10.85 seconds. Reddick placed 11th in the mile run, with a time of 5 minutes, 6.95 seconds.

Cairo’s Malik Calloway was 16th in the mile, with a time of 5 minutes, 20.13 seconds.

Thomas County’s Sylwasky Lomax placed 11th in the boys’ discus throw, with a throw of 101 feet, one inch.

Thomas County Central finished 10th in the 4 x 400-meter relay, with a time of 3 minutes, 37.55 seconds. The team consisted of Devan Drew, Marcuss Paytee, Jamal Ross and Juanye Smith.
