The Bainbridge Decatur-County YMCA, a Silver Sneakers approved facility, was recently evaluated by Healthways. Healthways, the Silver Sneakers program facilitator, sent their representative to evaluate YMCA Instructor Paula Grollman, in early February as part of their annual process.
Silver Sneaker Instructor Coordinator for Alabama and Georgia, Faye Rogers observed Grollman lead 2 of her Silver Sneaker endorsed classes and commented that “that Paula was always a great instructor and in my opinion, had shown improvement from my previous visit (which was wonderful).” She went on to say that, “After completing and calculating the score, it was a 5.84. Paula is only my second instructor EVER to get this high of a score and she is so deserving!”
The Silver Sneakers Fitness program is the nation’s leading fitness program designed exclusively for older adults. Healthways has been providing innovative health benefits for older adults for more than two decades. Today more than 65 Medicare health plans offer the program as a benefit to members across the nation. Regular participation in the program has been proven to help older adults manage their health and increase strength, balance and endurance.
