A structure fire was reported in Bainbridge at approximately 4 p.m. at a home located just off of E. River Road on 5th Avenue.
According to Chief Eric Miller, the fire began in the kitchen and spread rapidly. Bainbridge Public Safety responded to the call and extinguished the flames. Officers are checking the attic of the home for flames or any sign of fire. Smoke continues to pour from vents & soffits but is under control at this time.
No one was injured. The roads are open but the area is congested, so please choose an alternate route if possible.
