First Port City Bank officers and employees served a tasty hamburger and hot dog lunch to dozens of employees at Memorial Hospital and Manor in Bainbridge on Tuesday.
The meal was free of charge and was a community outreach project for First Port City Bank.
“We are certainly appreciative of all that Memorial Hospital and Manor does for our community on a daily basis,” said Don Whaley, First Port City Bank board of directors.
Tables were set up on the grass next to the hospital, and many employees chose to eat their lunch out under the sun on a beautiful day.
There was also cookies, potato chips and bottled water to be enjoyed.
While First Port City assistant vice president Jenny Herring, information security officer Brian Smith and Vice-President Melvin Nussbaum manned the serving line, First Port City Bank President Charles Bowles tended to the grill along with one of the bank’s loan officers, Ryan Giddens.
Several more bank employees and directors were also out at the hospital, serving food and talking with hospital employees.
First Port City Bank is located at 400 West Shotwell Street in Bainbridge.
