Bainbridge police arrest several after Monday night burglaries

Recovered-Stolen-Property-Jan-2015Due to the diligent work of the Criminal Investigation Division of Bainbridge Public Safety, several arrests have been made in a string of thefts that occurred on the night of Monday, Jan. 19.

Major Robert Humphrey stated that two homes located at 1510 Broughton Street and 1407 MLK Drive were burglarized within hours of each other on Monday night. Guns, a television, a bicycle, and a laptop computer have been recovered and were stolen from the two residences. An attempted burglary also occurred at 1413 MLK Drive.

An effort was made to gain entry into the residence by removing a window A/C unit which set off an alarm, scaring off the perpetrators. Following a series of interviews and investigative efforts, three male juveniles aged 14, 15, and 17 have been arrested and charged with three counts of burglary.

An adult female, Breyuanna Coleman, has also been arrested and charged with three counts of burglary. A fourth male juvenile has been arrested and charged with theft by taking and theft by receiving stolen property when he was found in possession of the bicycle taken from 1407 MLK Drive.

All of the recovered stolen goods are being returned to their rightful owners.
