Cold, windy weather headed to Southwest Georgia

You could get by with short sleeves on Monday, but by the time the sun set, it had started to get cooler.

Tuesday night’s low temperatures will still be in the upper 30s, but on Wednesday it will get cold.

What is known as an clipper weather system is moving southeast from Canada, bringing a cold front and big temperature drops with it.

Wednesday will be sunny with a high around 57 degrees, but it will be very windy at times. Because the Sun’s warmth won’t be able to set in, it will get very cold on Wednesday night, with a low around 23 and wind chill values that will make it feel like 15 degrees.

Thursday will still be cold and windy, with a high of only around 40 degrees and a low of 24 on Thursday night.

The good news is the wind will calm down and it will start to get warmer Friday, though we’re still looking at jacket weather for this weekend, with highs in the 50s.
