University of Georgia wide receivers Malcolm Mitchell and Justin Scott-Wesley (who is from Mitchell County, GA) may see their first playing time of the 2014 season on Saturday, Oct. 4, after recovering from major injuries from last season.

Mitchell, who had 85 catches for 1,237 yards and eight touchdowns in his first two seasons, hasn’t played since tearing an ACL in the opener last year against Clemson celebrating a touchdown. He then underwent arthroscopic surgery on the eve of preseason camp.

Scott-Wesley last played on Oct. 5 last season when he tore an ACL against Tennessee. He had 16 catches for 311 yards and two touchdowns in five games last year. He was suspended for the first four games of this season following an off-season arrest for marijuana possession.

Scott-Wesley has been practicing at full speed the past couple of weeks after suffering a temporary setback with an ankle injury the last week of camp. On Tuesday, Scott-Wesley was dressed out in full pads, but wearing the protection of a green jersey, which means other players weren’t supposed to hit him.
