Bainbridge residents can soon drop off special pickup items at transfer station

Effective Thursday, October 2, 2014, the City of Bainbridge will open the Avenue C Transfer Station to the public for drop of special pick up items. The transfer station will be open every Thursday from 9 am- 12 noon, and the first Saturday of each month from 8 am to 12 noon for all customers that present a current utility bill and matching identification for address listed on utility bill.

Each customer is allowed 1 free pick up load per address, anything over this amount will have a reasonable charge applied to their utility bill. Items not allowed for drop off are: all building material (sheet rock, shingles, lumber, wood, tile, fence, etc.), hazardous material, chemicals, batteries, tires, and paint.

The City of Bainbridge will continue to offer the curbside special pick up service upon request from customer for a minimum fee of $200.00. Any questions should be directed to our Public Service Department at (229) 248-2014.
