MHG, the holding company of Meredian Inc. and DaniMer Scientific, announced they are currently in China for the China International Fair for Investment and Trade. This fair is held annually by the Invest in the USA (IIUSA) Association and is intended to promote the EB-5 program to stimulate the economy and job creation in the United States. During this trip to China, MHG hopes to raise in excess of $100 million for their operations.

“During our trip to China and beyond, MHG hopes to raise funds to expand operations and create thousands of jobs in the Bainbridge area,” said Paul Pereira, CEO and Executive Chairman to the Board of Directors of MHG. “This is a great opportunity to present our company to foreign investors, to increase brand awareness globally, as well as advocate the science of bioplastics including our PHA and PLA at an international platform.”

The fair is taking place from September 6th until the 10th. CIFIT is China’s only international investment promotion event aimed at facilitating bilingual investment. While the fair showcases many different investment opportunities, the event also attracts promotion agencies from more than 40 countries. This occasion provides great opportunity for multilateral investment cooperation.

At the fair, MHG is presenting Meredian’s PHA (polyhydroxalkanoates) and DaniMer’s PLA (polyactic acid) to potential investors. DaniMer currently supports customers’ needs anywhere in the world. The company has established world class research and development teams with two laboratories and a polymer development center to enable rapid response to customers need. Meredian produces durable, long-lasting, 100% biodegradable and compostable bioplastics and generates no toxic waste during production. The PHA produced can be adaptable to almost any plastic product and can also be combined with PLA to produce other products that possess the properties needed.

EB-5 economists have performed an economic impact study and believe that as a result of MHG’s involvement in this fair, 8,000 jobs could be directly and indirectly induced in the Greater Bainbridge Area.

MHG’s presence at the IIUSA CIFIT is being sponsored by the Southern Film Regional Center, who has been active in the EB-5 program since 2008. The Center has assisted with countless other EB-5 projects nationally, covering a broad range of industries.

This latest path creates yet another opportunity for funding MHG with reliable and reasonably priced resources. As the company grows, it is imperative for them to always reserve funding options.

Meredian and DaniMer have achieved many significant milestones in these past few months. Some of them include being Vinçotte Certified for biodegradablility in six different mediums, becoming FDA- Approved for food substance contact and having their pilot study with Tate and Lyle affirm scalability of their products.

Other recent events include Meredian and DaniMer merging under their holding company, MHG and consolidating both companies’ operations under that name. For more details on MHG and the different companies that are part of their family, please visit the website http://www.meredianholdings.com/.
