The Decatur County Board of Commissioners will hold a special called meeting at 203 W. Broughton Street on Monday, August 18 at 5 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to set the county’s 2014 millage rate.
The Bainbridge Planning Commission will meet Tuesday, August 12 at 6 p.m. with the following agenda:
- Applicant Lonnie Watson requests a conditional use for property to be used as a neighborhood carwash. The address is 420 Scott Street and is zoned Neighborhood Business.
- Applicant Turner Brock requests a conditional use to build duplex apartments at the property located at 1234 E. River Road which is currently zoned UR-6 (Urban Low-Density Residential District).
- Applicant Donnie Palmer, owner of the Trading Post at 903 E. Shotwell Street, requests an administrative decision appeal. Mr. Palmer would like permission for the “second frontage” sign to be placed on the parking lot side of the building instead of the Russ Street side of the building.
- Applicant Building Bainbridge Businesses (Downtown merchant group would like to request a Zoning Text Amendment).
