Below is a highlight from Tuesday night’s performance by Ugandan Thunder singing and dancing group at the Kirbo Center on the campus of Bainbridge State College. The children in the Ugandan Thunder dancing and singing group are from the Royal School and Orphanage and the Morning Star School and Orphanage in Uganda, East Africa. Ugandan Thunder sang and danced to favorite songs both in African and American styles. The concert was packed with high energy music, dancing and interaction with the audience. The children’s visit was sponsored by the Friendship House. The African school students also visited Hutto Middle School and Grace Christian Academy while in Bainbridge. One of the students, Retha, also enjoyed being interviewed by Melba Kay on the Brunch to Lunch morning radio show, which can be heard weekday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to noon on WMGR 99.3 FM / 930 AM Bainbridge and WSEM 1500 AM in Donalsonville.
