BPS: Reward Offered in Bainbridge Shooting Cases

REWARD OFFERED:

On Thursday, May 17th at 12:26am, BPS officers were dispatched to the Wisteria Drive area in reference to a report of hearing gunshots. Officers searched the area but did not see anything that seemed out of the ordinary. At 1:04am, another call was dispatched to the same area of Wisteria Drive. Officers made contact with a resident of Wisteria Drive who stated that when she arrived home, she found bullet holes all around her back door. Fifteen empty shell casings were located, and multiple appliances inside of the home were littered with bullet holes.

The following night, around midnight, a call was dispatched to BPS with reports of two vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed on Scott Street. The vehicles turned from Scott Street onto Broughton Street. Shortly thereafter, a report of gunshots in the area of Broughton and Hall Streets was called in to 911.

Officers believe that both incidents are related, and the parties involved are armed and dangerous with no regard for the safety of the public. If anyone has information that can assist in identifying those involved, they are asked to call Investigator Larry Funderburke at 229-726-9581. A reward is being offered by BPS for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the shooter/shooters.
