A construction crew is hard at work building a new Hampton Inn hotel off U.S. Highway 27 in Bainbridge.
Earlier this week, builders were using a tall crane to lift heavy concrete blocks onto the top of what will become the hotel.
The hotel is being built on a 3.15-acre site next to the Tractor Supply store off U.S. 27. It will have 71 rooms and the building will be 15,861 square feet in size, according to the City of Bainbridge Building Department.
Legacy Hospitality Management of Perry, Ga., is the developer on the project and Bran Hospitality of Perry, Ga., owns the hotel.
