According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, southwest Georgia, southeast Alabama and North Florida could see heavy rain and severe weather tonight and tomorrow. From the release:
WEATHER: Heavy Rain and Severe Weather Possible Monday Night and Tuesday Morning
Hazards: Heavy Rain, Damaging Winds, Isolated tornadoes
Timing of Heavy Rain: Sunday night through Tuesday
Timing of Wind/Tornado Threat: Monday night through Tuesday
Location of Heavy Rain: Widespread totals of 2-4″ are expected west of Valdosta, GA/Perry, FL with locally higher amounts which could cause flash flooding
Location of Wind/Tornado Threat: The highest threat Monday night is in the FL Panhandle as shown by the slight risk area in the SPC day 3 outlook. Although SPC does not have an outlook area for Tuesday yet, this threat area may be expanded further north and east and could cover a larger portion of our area.
