From the National Weather Service in Tallahassee:
An approaching cold front will increase rain chances across the tri-state area over the next couple of days, with a few strong to severe storms possible.
* Timing: While rain chances will increase late tonight into Tuesday (especially in SE Alabama), the highest risk for isolated strong to severe storms will hold off until late Tuesday night into Wednesday.
* Risk: At this time the Storm Prediction Center has all of SE Alabama, SW/SC Georgia, and the Florida Big Bend and Panhandle in a Marginal Risk for severe storms on Wednesday.
* Threats: Primary threats are expected to be isolated damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes.
* Rainfall: Rainfall totals through Thursday will vary across the region, from less than one-half inch in the Southeastern Big Bend to over 1 inch in SE Alabama and portions of SW Georgia. Unfortunately, these amounts will have little impact on the ongoing drought conditions.
