The Bainbridge High School varsity basketball team fell 78-75 to the Dougherty High School Trojans on Saturday night.
Bainbridge senior guard Tyree Crump led all scorers in the game with 26 points. He scored 17 first-half points, 13 of which came in the second quarter.
The Bainbridge Bearcats basketball team has an away non-conference game @ Colquitt County on Tuesday, December 8, with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys taking the court at 7:30 p.m.
In the girls’ game, the Lady Bearcats defeated the Dougherty Lady Trojans, 62-23.
Bainbridge opened up the game with an 11-2 run and added on from there. The Lady Bearcats took a 31-10 lead into the half.
Bainbridge’s Nadia Marshall led all scorers with 16 points. Alexis Buss added 11 for the Lady Bearcats.
Cairo vs. Monroe
In other scores, Monroe’s boys beat Cairo’s boys, 70-33 on Saturday night.
In the girls’ game, Monroe’s girls won 83-44 over the Cairo High School Lady Syrupmakers.
