The Bainbridge High School Lady Bearcats varsity softball team jumped out to an early lead on Americus-Sumter and captured a 20-1 victory on Monday.
Twenty runs in the first three innings allowed the Lady Bearcats to put the game away early.

An RBI double by Makayla Hamilton, a three-run double by Bailey Rayfield, a wild pitch, a steal of home by Taylor Swanner, an RBI single by Mabry Grace Briggs, an error, and a wild pitch in the first inning and a wild pitch, a two-run double by Thyra Jackson, an RBI single by Briggs, an RBI single by Hamilton, an RBI single by Tori Sprenkle, and four wild pitches during the second inning helped the Lady Bearcats put some runs on the board early.
Makayla Hamilton boosted her batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace Bainbridge.
Reilly Fletcher put together a nice outing. Americus-Sumter managed just one hit off of the the Lady Bearcats’ pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during her three innings of work.
The Lady Bearcats easily handled Americus-Sumter pitching as six hitters combined for 10 hits, 11 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
