PRESS RELEASE
On Tuesday, February 11th around 3:30 in the afternoon, BPS Captain Terry Pait stopped a vehicle near Auto Zone on Shotwell Street. As the vehicle was pulling over, the front and rear passenger doors opened and two male subjects jumped out and fled on foot. The driver and another passenger remained inside the vehicle.
As Captain Pait secured the scene, Sergeant Josh Glover, Officer Jason Hayes, and Officer Michael Wilford tracked one of the fleeing subjects to a residence on Broughton Street where he was found hiding in a bedroom closet.
The subject, identified as Shoteick Quamaine Rogers, is on probation out of Albany for the offenses of Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault. Rogers was one of three who was indicted for shooting an Albany man in the head while robbing him back in December of 2016.
