Once again the National Weather Service has issued a severe weather warning for southwest Georgia and North Florida. The threat exists for damaging wind and a chance of hail Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
What: Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible with damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph the main threat. Penny to quarter size hail could also occur. The risk of tornadoes is low at this time.When/Where: Saturday night across portions of southeast Alabama and the Florida panhandle, spreading eastward across the remainder of the area during the day on Sunday.Impacts: Sporadic impacts to trees and power lines are possible.
