WEATHER: Flint River Projected to Reach Flood Stage

PRESS RELEASE

The National Weather Service has issued a FLOOD WARNING for the Flint River in Decatur County.

The FLOOD WARNING for the Flint River in Bainbridge continues until further notice.

Current River Reading as of 9:45 a.m.: 21.22 feet

The NWS forecast issued at 10:32 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2018:

The Flood Warning continues for the Flint River at Bainbridge (US 27).
* Until further notice.
* At 9:45 AM Monday the stage was 21.22 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast: The river will continue rising to near 26.6 feet by late Wednesday then begin falling.
