Despite being the victim of a massive pumpkin theft earlier this week, Springhill Tree Farm in Bainbridge is still open for business.
“We’ve got plenty of pumpkins for this weekend” said Dan Provence, owner of Springhill Tree Farm. “We are looking forward to everyone coming out and visiting with us”.
Provence stated that someone broke into an unlocked gate at the farm late Monday night or early Tuesday morning and got away with nearly 200 pumpkins. Based on evidence at the scene, the perpetrators knew the property and came prepared. According to Provence, “they knew exactly where the big pumpkins were”.
Despite the effort to disrupt a local business during one of it’s busiest times of the year, Springhill Tree Farm is looking forward to a busy final weekend of the Halloween season. This weekend, visitors will enjoy plenty of pumpkins, hayrides, food and fun plus a haunted maze from 8:00 p.m. until midnight Friday and Saturday.
Springhill Tree Farm is located at 795 Woodhull Road in Bainbridge. For more information call 229-400-0329 or visit their facebook page.
