Teachers Celebrated at Wild Adventures with Free Admission

Donation of school supplies gets half-off admission

Valdosta, GA – It will be all about teachers and school at Wild Adventures Theme Park Saturday, Sunday and Monday, July 29-31 when educators are honored with free admission. All other guests can join the fun by donating a new school supply and they will get half off general admission.

“We wanted to do something extra special for our teachers to say thanks for all they do for our children and our communities,” General Manager Molly Deese said. “Our teachers truly make all the difference.”

Teachers, principals and school support staff are invited to visit the park Saturday, July 29 through Monday, July 31 to celebrate the start of a new school year with free admission. Educators who visit the park those days can also enter to win great prizes including classroom supply gift cards.

Teachers, principals and support staff only need to show a valid school ID or a school district paystub and photo ID for free admission. Family members and friends can purchase discount tickets at the park when accompanied by an educator or bring a standard school supply for half off admission.

All school supplies collected will go to Second Harvest of South Georgia, to help stock their Teachers’ Harvest. Teachers’ Harvest offers area teachers new and gently used supplies and equipment donated by local and national businesses. Since opening in 2009, Teachers’ Harvest has provided nearly $4 million in goods and has served nearly 4,000 teachers.
