According to Decatur County Sheriff Wiley Griffin, a concerned citizen called 911 around 4:30 a.m. Friday morning, to report a white 4 door car running and just barely off the edge of Zorn Road, just north of Bainbridge.
Deputy Michael Musgrove of DCSO arrived at the scene around 4:45 am and discovered Quentieria Knight of Decatur County, age 22, deceased, inside the automobile, with the engine running, and in park.
Based on evidence at the scene, it is thought the incident occurred around midnight. Decatur County Investigators and the GBI are asking if anyone might have seen anything suspicious between the hours of midnight and 4:30 am Friday, to please contact the Decatur County Sheriffs office at 229-248-3044. The deceased body has been transported to the GBI Crime Lab for processing.
The case has been ruled a homicide and a suspect(s) are still at large.
