UPDATE (Tuesday 9:30 a.m.)
The Bainbridge – Decatur County Humane Society has announced on their facebook page that the stolen dogs were returned to the shelter.
Two dogs were stolen from the Decatur County Humane Society over the weekend and they’re asking for the public’s help in solving the crime. From the Humane Society’s Facebook Page:
“On Friday, 2/19/16, two of our precious pits were stolen. The criminals cut through our fencing and took Douglas and Carmel. A police report is being made and video footage is being reviewed. The shelter staff is devastated and feels as though our very home has been violated and our babies we care for so deeply have been taken. If you have ANY information, please contact us or the police. Legally, this is damage to property and theft by taking. Emotionally, it is so much more. Please help us find Douglas and Carmel.
A REWARD is offered for the information that leads to the person (s) responsible and their arrest! 1-229-246-0101.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Bainbridge Public Safety at 229-248-2032.
