There aren’t many rivalries in southwest Georgia bigger than Cairo and Bainbridge and this Friday will be the 70th meeting between the two rival schools. The Bearcats are fresh off of a hearty victory over Early County and the Syrupmakers had Thomasville pretty beat down before the game was called due to lightning just before halftime last Saturday. Both teams will be ready to play in this one and it is shaping up to be one of the most heated games between the two in years. Pregame coverage begins at 7 pm and kickoff between the Bearcats and the Syrupmakers will be at 7:30 pm on WBGE-FM, Live 101.9.
Both Miller and Early County have licked their wounds from last week but that won’t stop the intensity from this Friday night’s game between the two in Blakely. The Bobcats were beaten 42-13 in Bainbridge by the Bearcats and the Pirates were beaten 40-6 in Buena Vista by the Marion County Eagles. The Bobcats have a 22-7 record against Miller County and are currently on a four game winning streak. Pregame coverage begins at 7:30 pm and kickoff between the Pirates and the Bobcats will be at 8 pm on WGMK-FM, Rockin 106.3.
‘The Thrilla In Camilla’ returns this Friday night when the Pelham Hornets travel to Camilla to take on the hated Mitchell County Eagles. Hornets Head Coach Dondrial Pinkins was once a stand out star for Mitchell-Baker, now Mitchell County, and that will add a little extra juice to an already heated rivalry. Pelham got a big win over Baconton Charter last week and Mitchell County got a win over Albany but both still has some kinks to work out this season. Combining the Mitchell-Baker and Mitchell County years, this will be the 66th meeting between the two bitter rivals and this Friday night is shaping up to be a good one. Pregame coverage begins at 7 pm and kickoff between the Hornets and the Eagles will be at 7:30 pm on WQLI-FM, Q 92.3.
