A four-run explosion in the fourth inning led the Seminole County Lady Indians to a 7-0 win in seven innings over Cairo on Monday.
The Lady Indians scored in the fourth on a two-run error, an error, and an RBI single by Erin Dow.
Seminole County’s Emily Brown was perfect at the dish, going 4-4. She singled in the second, third, and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.
The Lady Indians’ Evan Hall kept Cairo off the scoreboard for all seven innings she was on the rubber. She pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on five hits while ringing up six.
#0 ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision for the Lady Syrupmakers, charged with the loss. She allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out one.
The lead stayed with the Lady Indians after the second, when they scored two runs on a two-run triple by Kaylee Ready.
