Bainbridge Bearcat Softball fell to Worth Co. 4-0 on Tuesday evening in Sylvester.
Worth County’s Caroline Newton got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She pitched seven shutout innings. She struck out 13, walked none and surrendered two hits.
Worth Co.’s Taylor Layfield, Brinsley Graddy and McKenzie Newell combined for five hits and four RBIs.
Abigail Gardner was charged with the loss. She lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
The lead stayed with Worth Co. after the fifth, when it scored three runs on a three-run home run by Layfield.
Getting hits for the Lady Bearcats were Mabry Grace Briggs and Morgan Cannon.
