Recent Decatur County Sheriff’s Office Incident Reports

The following is a sampling of recent incidents reported by the Decatur County (GA) Sheriff’s Office. We do not list domestic incidents, out of respect for the victim’s safety, and we also redact citizens’ names and specific addresses, out of respect for their privacy.

• On 03/17/2015 at approx. 1000 hours, Inv. Terry Phillips was contacted in reference to check forgery.
• On Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at 2352 hours, Captain Justin Bedwell, Sergeant Nick Godwin, Deputy Sam Hughes, Deputy Richard Hughes, and Decatur EMS were dispatched to Henry Lane, in reference to an intoxicated 19 year old.
• On Monday, March 16, 2015, at 1550 hours, Deputy Adam Mobley responded to 7000 block of Tallahassee Highway, in reference to Identity Theft.
• On 03/14/2015, at 0944 hours, Deputy Presilla was dispatched to 500 block of Cedar Grove Rd., Climax, Ga., 39825, in reference to damage to a mailbox.
• On 03/14/2015, at 1430 hours, Deputy Presilla received a phone call in reference to a Burglary on Barber Shop Rd.
• On Saturday, March 14, 2015, Sgt. Jason Williams responded to Barber Rd., in reference to a theft.
• On Wednesday, March 11, 2015, Deputy Redell Walton met a citizen in the lobby of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, in reference to unknown individuals making transactions on her Valero gas account.
• On 03/09/2015 at approximately 0900 hours the complainant contacted the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, in reference to fraudulently purchased items that were shipped to an address in Brinson, GA.
• On Thursday, March 5, 2015 approx. 1130 hours, Sgt. Tim Williamson received a phone call from the complainant, who advised an unknown person(s) just stole a Ford F-150 truck from a farmer’s field on East Eldorendo Rd.
• On Thursday, March 5, 2015, Deputy Vincent Edmond responded to an E-911 dispatch of a burglary on the 3500 block of Faceville Highway.
• On Thursday, March 05, 2015, Deputy Daryl Long met with complainant at his residence located on E. Griffin Ave. in Attapulgus, regarding a theft from his vehicle.
• On Friday, March 06, 2015, Sgt. Jason Williams seized a white powdery substance during a traffic stop.
• On Wednesday, March 4, 2014 at 0641 hours, Sgt. Tim Williamson was dispatched to Gaines Bouie Rd. in reference to an Entering Auto.
• On Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 0737 hours, Sgt. Tim Williamson was dispatched to Rollins St. in reference to an Entering Auto.
• On Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 1556 hours, Sgt. Tim Williamson was dispatched to Wood St. in reference to an Entering Auto.
• On Wednesday, March 04, 2015, Deputy Long responded to Slough Loop Road, in reference to an attempted Burglary.
• On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, Decatur County Deputies responded to the Attapulgus Creek on Highway 27 South, in reference to a missing person.
• On Monday, March 02, 2015, at approximately 0713 hours, Deputy Adam Mobley responded to Rich Road, Bainbridge Ga., in reference to stolen equipment.
• On Monday, March 2, 2015, Deputy Redell Walton responded to a dispatch to Martin Cemetery in the Attapulgus area in reference to damage to graves by construction equipment.
• On Monday, March 02, 2015, at approximately 1521 hours, Deputy Adam Mobley responded to 300 block of Frank Brown Road, in reference to a Burglary.
