The 2015 River Town Days was held Friday and Saturday, drawing large crowds to the Earle May Boat Basin in Bainbridge.
Flames on the Flint grand champions were “Way 2 Que,” from Sharpsburg, Ga., cooks Mike Ashley and Robert Williams, with an overall score of 697.120. This is their second year in BBQ competitions, and their first grand championship.
Sadly, Bill Allen from the New Jersey team “Hollywood and Swine” had a heart attack and passed away right after getting the top award for best chicken with a rare perfect score.
2015 Lake Seminole Open Results
Steve Stewart and Johnny Creel won first place with a two-day total of 44 pounds, three ounces. They took home the grand prize of $5,000.
2nd place was Brad Reynolds and Lance Reynolds, 3rd place was Clint Brown and Clint Meeks, 4th place was Reid Heard and Dusten Johnson and 5th place was PauL Tyre and Nic Jeter.
