Palmer Insurance Agency of Bainbridge, Ga., has announced new hires to handle existing customers and new business opportunities.
Agency owner Matt Palmer stated, “I am excited to announce new members and realignment of our agency team,” Palmer Insurance Agency owner Matt Palmer said.
Tara McPherson has joined the agency as our front line customer service representative. Tara has several years of customer service experience and will be the initial contact with customers who come in or call.
Cathy Willis joined the agency in 2014 and is a licensed insurance agent. Cathy also has a vast range of experience in the human resources field and will be handling personal lines insurance.
Amanda Bailey has also joined the agency team and is a licensed insurance agent. Amanda has experience in the finance and insurance fields and will also be handling personal lines.
Long time agency team member, Melanie Posey is a Certified Insurance Counselor. Melanie will be managing personal lines and also concentrating on commercial lines insurance and life insurance.
Debbie Elkins, another long tenured member of the team, will continue to handle agency information technology and customer service.
According to Palmer, the insurance marketplace is constantly changing and the additional staff resources will allow the agency to service our existing clients better and work on new business opportunities.
“By being an Independent Insurance Agency and representing multiple insurance companies, the agent needs to stay on top of the changes and make sure the client is in the best situation possible from a coverage and pricing standpoint,” Palmer said.

The agency has a longstanding presence in Bainbridge. From the early beginnings in the 1960s with Raymond Miles, through the ’80s and ’90s with George E Daniel, Jr, the name of the agency was changed in 2002 when purchased by employee, Matt Palmer.
