Another fire early Friday morning in the 1000 block of Broughton Streets has Bainbridge Public Safety officers seeking the public’s assistance.
On Thursday night, a fire believed to have been intentionally set in the 1000 block of Water Street in a vacant residence. This morning’s blaze, considered a total loss, was also a set fire which occurred in a vacant residence. The fires appear to be related.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BPS at 229-248-2038 or Investigator Robert Humphrey at 229-515-0973. Anonymous tips can also be sent at the City of Bainbridge website.
A structure fire in the 1000 block of Water Street is under control thanks to the efforts of Bainbridge Public Safety. The set fire began around 11:15 pm in the front portion of the vacant residence, according to Captain James Dollar. The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time. If anyone has information about the fire, please contact BPS at 229-248-2038.
