City of Bainbridge News Release
With the holidays upon us, we know that you will be having additional items for trash pick-up.
In order to serve you and keep our city looking our best, the City’s Transfer Station is open to the public on Thursday mornings from 9am until 12 noon, and on the first Saturday of each month from 8am until 12 noon.
You will be able to drop-off items that are too large for your city issued trash can; just bring your current city utility bill and a matching form of identification. Customers are allowed one free load per day.
If you wish to bring additional loads, there will be a charge applied to your utility bill. The Transfer Station is located on Avenue C off of Hwy. 97 South.
Items which are not allowed to be dropped off at the transfer station: all building materials (sheetrock, roofing, lumber, paint), wood, fencing, chemicals, batteries, tires, or anything hazardous.
If you are unable to drop-off at the Transfer Station and need oversized items removed, the City offers curbside pick-up for a minimum fee of $200. Call 229-248-2014 for additional information.
