MHG Met behind Closed Doors with BASF to Discuss Business Opportunities between the Two Companies
BAINBRIDGE, GA. — MHG, the manufacturer of one hundred percent biodegradable plastic, announced they met behind closed doors with BASF, the largest chemical company in the world. Dr. Paul Pereira, CEO and Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, met with Johannes Becker, Vice President of Strategy in Brussels last week to discuss next steps in a series of initiatives.

MHG is currently in the process of ramping up their facility to produce their completely biodegradable plastic. The process is expected to be completed by mid 2015, in time for the next canola harvest. The completion of the facility will coincide with the first shipments to customers who currently have contracts with MHG.
In addition to the commercialization of their PHA, MHG is now offering a “Specialty Toll Manufacturing” service, which allows clients to capitalize on the experience MHG has in the different processes. The service helps customers meet their demand for specialty products. MHG is currently providing this service to three Fortune 500 companies with other contracts also under negotiations.
